Head of Cross-Platform Delivery & Execution @ A.P. Moller - Maersk | Certified Supply Chain Professional

Driving digital transformation as leader of a global Program Management Office across logistics product teams. Our 2024 priority is the rollout of a cross-product pricing platform, enabling solution pricing and making life simpler for our Sales-, Product- and Support Teams globally - fueling the realization of Maersk’s Global Integrator vision. This initiative, which touches approx. 4,000 users,  includes standardization of processes, implementation of best practices across geographies and teams change management across multiple functions and geographies. 

Key achievements:
1. Established a program management team of 15 members from the ground and implementing a structure of functional workstreams supporting regional launch teams 
2. Established and owned Go To Market Plan across regions, products and impacted users, catering for maximizing Maersk 2024 business impact while accomodating regional/user constraints. All with a direct link back to the development roadmap and subsequent adjustment of same
3. Achieved strong buyin and contribution of 10-15 person launch teams in each of our regions, representing all users impacted by the initiative across our five global regions.
4. Established and applied value realization framework to capture the impact of the initiative, among other via user satisfaction improvement, revenue leakage prevention and end-customer benefits from quote turnaround time reduction

A.P. Moller - Maersk

Head of Cross-Platform Delivery & Execution, Senior Director

Global P&L responsible for the Maersk Ocean Product Portfolio of Global & Local Forwarders, including ocean and logistics strategy, business development and ongoing performance management. Accounting for approx. 15% of the global Maersk ocean business, and associated landside transportation, my team of 13 logistics professionals, led the turnaround of the global forwarder business with Maersk during the realization of the strategy of more direct business with producers and manufacturers. Furthermore responsible for Strategic Projects, including among other our global commercial planning program, an initiative targeted Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and the initial steps on defining our future pricing model. 

Key achievements:
1. Planned and executed a turnaround of Maersk’s global freight forwarder portfolio, a key component on our path towards stable, profitable growth. This included leading the regional action plans, direct key customer negotiations and re-establishing regional teams 
2. Played central role in managing the ocean market normalization after the strong market of 2020-2021 via commercial planning, leading regional activities and driving daily war rooms.
3. Established the digital transformation of our pricing initiative as a Top 10 priority for Maersk by successfully having this selected as part of our annual Operational Planning process.

Product Director & Head of Strategic Projects 

Global P&L responsible for Maersk Line fashion-, apparel- and sportswear customers, from shaping the vision, strategy and plan to delivering exponential end-to-end growth across one of our most important portfolios. Particularly focused on developing the global integrated ocean- and logistics strategy via new and future-ready services and expanding our global footprint within the vertical. In addition to this defined scope, I was asked to shape and lead our global ocean- and logistics transformation program, ‘Double Down’, with the purpose of accelerating the integration of Sales, Logistics- and Ocean Product Management through a highly customer-focused annual planning process. 

Key achievements:
1. Established a Lifestyle product management team of 7 logistics professionals from the ground
2. Vertical growth of +100% YoY in 2021 with ambition to deliver another 65% YoY in 2022
3. Growing vertical EBIT by a YoY multiplier of x6
4. Accelerating implementation of strategic priorities via close customer interaction and enabling our global sales force to execute on the direction for the vertical 
5. Successful multi-million-dollar negotiations (annual- and multi-year contracts) of our largest Lifestyle customers, shipping more than 50,000 FFE p.a. with Maersk
6. Product development through Agile and SCRUM frameworks 
7. Successfully heading one of the largest company-wide transformations in recent years during 2021 called ‘Double Down’, with the sole aim to have our global ocean growth plan fuel our global vision of becoming the Global Integrator of Container Logistics

Product Director, Lifestyle Vertical Lead

Area P&L responsible for Maersk’s ocean- and logistics business within the Area of Central South Europe, covering 13 countries and 11 different product families. Establishing and leading the Area Product Team of 10 logistics professionals, I was among other leading the area strategy development process, involving the entire leadership team, and subsequently implementing the strategy of ‘Logistics Beyond Ocean’ across the Area.  

Key achievements:
1. Recruiting key logistics team members (Landside Transport, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, Innovation) to deliver the new strategy by adding the required capabilities to the product team
2. Creating a winning culture within my department, lifting engagement from Mean Percentile Rank of 18 in 2018 to rank 77 in 2020 (based on Gallup survey)
3. Creating and implementing our 2023 area strategy and business plans for Ocean, Customs Clearance, Landside Transport and Warehousing 
4. Completed turnaround of a 100,000 FFE/year intermodal business in Italy through better agreements and structurally changed the setup from slot chartering to implementing usage of block trains.
5. Introducing seven new landside products across the area, growing annual EBIT from negative in 2018 to high single digit USDm in 2020
6. Successful opening of the Vado Ligure Container Terminal in 2019, the largest and most modern container terminal in Italy through thorough cross-functional commercial- and operational planning
7. Due diligence in connection with acquisition of a Customs Brokerage provider in Italy

Director, Head of Product Management

P&L responsible for a multi-billion business across Maersk Line volumes shipped from the Mediterranean to Asia. The role contained business development across our ocean network and within value pools of reefer and focus customer verticals. 

Key achievements:
1. Creation/implementation of 2023 strategy, becoming the role model for other trades 
2. Turning the trade from a traditional ‘backhaul trade’ into a profit pool for Maersk Line, by tapping into the pockets of profitable growth of among other citrus and frozen tuna
3. Establishing local network of anchor points across origin and destination organizations

Trade Manager - Mediterranean to Asia

Part of a team responsible for Maersk Line volumes shipped from Europe to Asia

Trade Manager - Europe to Asia

P&L responsible for the second largest region and strategic area for Maersk Line Special Cargo, covering 13 countries. Heading a regional strategy-, pricing- and market intelligence team, connecting frontline Sales, Marketing and Operations with center functions in HQ. Covering a geographic triangle from India to Japan to New Zealand, this job included aligning the regional approach while allowing significant room for local nuances. 

Key achievements:
1.	Re-design of the organizational structure and establishing of a winning team culture 
2.	Turn-around from negative YoY growth in 2013 to double digit growth in 2015
3.	Identification of strategic customer segments and establishing value proposition
4.	Design of performance management structure, for later global implementation

Head of Special Cargo Management - Asia/Pacific

Engaged in various cross-functional projects while supporting the business of the regional Special Cargo offices in Charlotte, Rotterdam and Shanghai through analyses and market intelligence. Working as sparring partner of the Global Head of Special Cargo and participating in both operational and commercial initiatives with stakeholders worldwide.
Key achievements:
1.	Supporting the development of the global strategy for the segment
2.	Establishing an offshoring team in Chennai, India
3.	Completing and receiving sign-off on business case for procuring special equipment 
4.	Establishing of a global performance management system for the segment

As tender process owner, I was responsible for the global tender process for Maersk Line across key client and non-key client customers. This included acting as a sparring partner for end-to-end process improvements and developing a more standardized way of handling tenders within the company across frontline- and back-end offices. 

Key achievements:
1.	Developing a workflow tool for service centers in Mumbai, Chennai and Manila
2.	Integrating the handling of tenders for the Safmarine brand
3.	Standardizing the global tender process, improving response time and quality
