Jake Siewert

Jake Siewert is a Managing Director and the Head of Global Public Policy and Political Risk at Warburg Pincus LLC, a private equity firm based in New York.14 He joined Warburg Pincus in 2021 from Goldman Sachs, where he was a Partner and directed the firm's global communications, content, and marketing efforts.12

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 2012, Siewert worked as a Counselor to Secretary of the Treasury Timothy F. Geithner during the global financial crisis and its aftermath.1 He has also held various positions in the Clinton and Obama administrations, including serving as the 22nd White House Press Secretary from September 2000 to January 2001.3

Siewert has a BA summa cum laude in Humanities from Yale University.13 He is married to Christine Anderson, who is the head of global public affairs for Blackstone Group.3

At Warburg Pincus, Siewert also oversees the Sustainability Strategy group.14 He leads the firm's efforts in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their investment approach and portfolio company management.4
