Jake Rosenfeld

Jake Rosenfeld is the Founder and COO of Bonsai, a company that helps recording artists engage and monetize their biggest fans and supporters.13 He co-founded Bonsai in February 2019 and is based in Miami Beach, Florida.34

Prior to founding Bonsai, Jake had a diverse background in venture capital and startups:

1. He was a Senior Associate at Correlation Ventures from May 2016 to April 2019, where he was responsible for investments in several companies including Alpaca, Bravely, Burrow, and Overtime.4

2. Jake served as a Board Observer for Overtime, a sports network for the next generation of fans, from December 2017 to March 2019.4

3. He was an Advisor for the New York Fashion Tech Lab from July 2016 to March 2019.4

4. Jake also mentored at Techstars from October 2016 to October 2018.4

5. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Piggy, an application for collecting change, and worked on the investment teams at Compound and Insight Venture Partners.4

Jake's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, with a focus on Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance.1

At Bonsai, Jake and his co-founder Patrick Sullivan aim to level the playing field in terms of social capital and career success. They built a marketplace connecting advice-seekers (college students and young professionals) with advice-givers (professionals and executives across various industries).2

Jake is also an active angel investor, typically investing between $10,000 and $50,000 in startups.3
