Strategic development and sourcing of General Merchandise Product Information to meet the vision of transforming from a book company into a cultural destination for our customers.- Designed a centralized Product Information Database “New Item Submission System” (NISS) for external and internal customers capable of handling hundreds of thousands of unique UPCs and their attributes.- Streamlined the upload process for ordering various categories of UPCs by eliminating nine MS Access databases and MS Excel templates. - Reduced product-to-market time by four weeks, a decrease of 25%.- Increased vendor-created UPCs by 45% in NISS.- Improved work processes between Merchants, Online Merchandisers, and French Translators.- Developed training materials for internal and external users of NISS.- Decreased internal issue tickets by 30% over a six-month period.- Achieved 100% image compliance for all General Merchandise UPCs on website versus 80% prior to implementation of NISS.
