Jaehwan Kim

Jaehwan Kim is a dedicated graduate student at MIT, specializing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is currently engaged as a research assistant at RLE's Physical Optics and Electronics Group, focusing on CMOS photonics and nanofluidics for biomedical applications.
Jaehwan's research endeavors include exploring low-cost and rapid fabrication strategies for sensors and diagnostic devices tailored for preventive healthcare. He has a profound educational background, holding a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology in Korea.
Before pursuing his graduate studies, Jaehwan honed his skills and expertise as a mobile phone hardware developer at Samsung Electronics in the Telecommunication Division from 2012 to 2016. His diverse experience also includes a summer internship at the Korea Institute of Robot and Convergence (KIRO). Jaehwan Kim is a distinguished recipient of the Kwanjeong scholarship.
