Assisted the Project Manager on rolling out the Asset Management system (HardCat) being utilized by one business division within PIRSA, to multiple business divisions across the whole Department and improving internal business processes.  This involved collaborating with key business users from each Division and gaining agreement from all on centralized processes going forward as well as ensuring system requirements from each Division, were captured, communicated & workshopped so that agreement could be reached on system changes required that could work for all Divisions.

SA Government - PIRSA

A business I built providing convenient, good quality, reusable kitchenware that you can easily take anywhere without any fuss (particularly when space is limited).  Later sold the business in December  2016.

Roaming Cooking

- Business Analyst responsibilities on the PACE funded MER Management Information Systems project including building a high level of engagement and trust with staff to enable the documenting and sign-off by Directors, of over 50 end-to-end business process maps (many of which lacked standardization and consistency in the way they were being carried out by staff). The Mining Lease Application process map alone was 300 steps. This also included fostering and facilitating a less-silo approach by bringing senior managers together to develop previously unstructured cross-departmental processes and responsibilities.  Over 100 improvements were made and many long standing issues between staff were resolved along with resolving different interpretations of changes to the Mining Act.
- Implemented solutions to encourage the usage of the current internal Tenement Management System 
(TMS) by the Mining Regulation Branch. This included gathering requirements, testing and 
implementing changes to help make the system work for them. The data in the system was cleaned 
up which increased the trust in the system.
- Identified gaps, defined ‘to-be’ process maps and objectives and documented high level functional 
requirements for a future IT solution.
- Facilitated discussions with staff to define a file structure that works for the business enabling better 
‘take-up’ of the electronic records management system (called ‘Objective’).
- Researched and documented the current usage of ‘MERFF’(also an EDRMS) within the Division and 
developed recommendations and solutions to migrate completely over to Objective.
- Provided recommendations to the project governance staff on project and change management 
matters.

Major achievements included:
- Development of a Project Management Framework and associated documents customized for the 
City.
- Initiated and assisted with the development of Business Cases for projects > $50,000 into the annual Corporate Planning process.
- Initiated the establishment of a cross functional Capital Expenditure Review Group.
- Project Co-ordinator for the Directors on the ‘Sustainable Future City’ project.

City of Greater Geraldton

Responsibilities included:

- Led the implementation of an integrated planning software system (Interplan) across all service teams within the organization in a timely and effective manner.

Manager Organisational Development

During the amalgamation of City of Geraldton and Greenough Shire Council, was engaged as a consultant to:
- Provide specialist advice, facilitation and mediation to key staff in consolidating both Councils key business processes, ensuring a consistent and agreed approach once having amalgamated. 
- Initiate a Management Information Framework and documentation system and structure.
- Change management.
Major achievements included:
- Jointly agreed key end-to-end business processes developed, documented and implemented.
- Improved understanding and clarification of roles and responsibilities amongst staff.
- Identification and raising of gaps and potential issues resulting in many process improvements.
- Implementation of a new centralized knowledge management framework including development of policy/executive guideline/process map/procedural templates.
- Co-coordinated cleanup and restructure of the old City’s Council and internal policies.
- Fostered improved relationships and communication amongst staff and across teams.

Responsibilities included:
-	Managing the Nine Network IT Helpdesk in providing an efficient and effective service to approximately 800 users (including management of two full-time staff).
-	Change Management role in converting 400 users over from mainframe environment to Microsoft Windows environment. 
-	Project managed the installation of the newsroom system (ENPS) across 20 shows (around 400 users). Responsibilities involved initial and on-going planning, installation, configuring, customising, support, training and developing support documents. 
-	Provided on-going training courses on Microsoft products and in-house products (including conducting training on systems for the Australian Consolidated Press company) and writing associated training material.
