Jacob Rubens is a distinguished professional with a robust background in the biotechnology and healthcare industry, serving as a Principal at Flagship Pioneering.

As a Co-Founder, Founding CSO, and Chief Innovation Officer of Tessera Therapeutics, along with being a Co-Founder of Sana Biotechnology, Jacob has demonstrated his strong entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills.

Prior to his current roles, Jacob played key roles at Cobalt Biomedicine and Kaleido Biosciences, contributing significantly to scientific strategy and innovation in these organizations.

Jacob's educational journey includes earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also completed a Healthcare Certificate at the Sloan School of Management.
