Executive Vice President at Candid
Jacob Harold, an experienced leader in the philanthropic sector, currently serves as the Executive Vice President (EVP) at Candid, an organization that was established in 2019 through the merger of GuideStar and Foundation Center.
Harold has a rich educational background, having studied Tibetan Studies Program at the School for International Training, earned an MBA specializing in corporate social responsibility, strategic philanthropy, nonprofit management, and social finance from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and completed an AB with honors in Ethics and Intellectual History at Duke University. Additionally, he participated in the Complex Systems Summer School at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prior to his current role at Candid, Jacob Harold held various key positions. He was the President & CEO of GuideStar, a Program Officer focusing on Philanthropy at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, worked as a Consultant at The Bridgespan Group, and served in roles such as Climate Campaigner at Rainforest Action Network, Global Warming and Energy Campaigner at Greenpeace USA, and Grassroots Organizer at Green Corps.
