Jacob Fay

Jacob Fay is a postdoctoral fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. His background includes various teaching and research positions in the field of education. He completed his Doctor of Education and Master of Education degrees at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, focusing on the Ethics of Education. Prior to his current role, Jacob served as a visiting assistant professor of education at Bowdoin College. He is known for synthesizing philosophical theories of injustice with developmental psychology insights to address issues of injustice. Jacob has co-edited publications such as Democratic Discord in Schools: Cases and Commentaries and Dilemmas of Educational Ethics: Cases and Commentaries. His academic journey also includes a Master of Arts in American History from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University. In addition to his academic pursuits, Jacob has practical teaching experience, having taught 8th-grade history at the Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ.
