Jacob Charms, CPA, is a driven professional with a rich background in consulting and finance. Currently pursuing an MBA at Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management, Jacob has a keen interest in data-driven marketing, new product development, consumer psychology, and innovation. Industries he is passionate about include CPG, Food and Beverage, Life Sciences Tools and Services, Hotels, Restaurants and Leisure, and Luxury Apparel.
Before embarking on his MBA journey, Jacob honed his skills in various consulting roles at renowned firms such as KPMG and Deloitte. His experience includes building and leading cross-functional teams, optimizing internal practices for efficiency, utilizing client metrics for strategic growth, and mentoring talent.
Jacob holds an impressive educational background, including a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University, a Masters of Accountancy in Valuation from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Cornell. He also attended Brentwood School.
Throughout his career, Jacob has been actively involved in organizations such as Big Red Ventures, where he served as an Associate, and as a Tech Strategy Commercialization Fellow at Cornell. He has also held roles at KPMG US as a Senior Associate in Economic & Valuation Services, at Deloitte as a Business Valuation Consultant and Intern, at E. & J. Gallo Winery as a Management Development Trainee, and at First Republic Private Wealth Management as a Summer Intern. In his early career, Jacob gained valuable experience as a Summer Camp Counselor at Brentwood School.
