Jaclyn Freeman Hester

Jaclyn Freeman Hester is a Partner at Foundry, a venture capital firm, where she has been working since 2016. She is involved in investing in early-stage companies and collaborates with Foundry’s partner funds. Her focus is on supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors, and she has been instrumental in launching Foundry’s partner fund strategy, growing the portfolio to nearly 50 managers.12

Before joining Foundry, Jaclyn worked as an Associate Attorney at Perkins Coie LLP and Baker & Hostetler LLP, where she dealt with private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. She also served as the Executive Director of Startup Colorado.1

Jaclyn holds a JD/MBA from the University of Colorado School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.1 Additionally, she is a Kauffman Fellow, Class 25, which she has been a part of since June 2020.1

Jaclyn is passionate about entrepreneurship and enjoys working closely with founders. She is also a mother of three and enjoys skiing, golfing, and live music in her free time.2
