Jackie Millea, AIA, ASID
Jackie Millea is a founding partner and president of Shelter Architecture, an architecture and design firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also the founder of Millea Living, an assistive furnishings company that designs and manufactures home products that offer comfort and assistance paired with elevated design.1
After 15+ years of interior design practice, Jackie earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota to grow in her influence as a designer. Her superpower is her empathetic understanding of how people live and interact in their spaces, which is rooted in her experience helping her father navigate the world in a wheelchair for over 20 years after a stroke.1
Throughout her career, Jackie has pursued a greater understanding of how design can better our wellness, health, relationships, and communities. Her leadership and focus on the impact that designs can have on people's lives is one of Shelter Architecture's most pronounced differentiators.1
