Jack Lavin

Jack Lavin is a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial services and fintech. He currently holds the position of Managing Director at Javlin Partners, an investment firm specializing in debt and equity investments in early to middle-stage financial services and fintech companies. Jack co-founded and served as Chairman of Javlin Capital, a private investment firm focusing on receivable-based financial assets. His responsibilities included strategic planning, executive mentorship, partnership evaluation, and fostering capital market relationships.

Prior to his role at Javlin Capital, Jack was an Executive Vice President at Sallie Mae and CEO of its Asset Performance Group, where he oversaw various finance units, international asset management functions, and collection activities. He was instrumental in the acquisition and growth of Arrow Financial Services, where he served as President and CEO before joining Sallie Mae. Jack's experience spans across esteemed institutions like Citibank, Drexel Burnham, and Bankers Trust, with expertise in banking, capital markets, and treasury management.

Jack's academic credentials include a BBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA in International Business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
