Jacintha Tagal
Jacintha Tagal is an education specialist with a diverse range of experience in strategy, project management, teaching, and curriculum development. Having taught in two different school environments, including a low-income public school and an international school in Ontario, Canada, Jacintha has gained an extensive understanding of the education sector. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Mathematics Teacher Education from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
Jacintha’s experience isn’t just limited to teaching. She also has a wealth of expertise in strategy and project management, including group-level strategy, building financial models, new business development, marketing and sales strategy, curriculum development, communications, and stakeholder management throughout her career. With her in-depth knowledge of the education sector, she has served as an Assistant College Director at St Pauls Theological College Malaysia and was previously a Strategic Development Manager at Sunway Education Group.
As a former Fellow at Teach for Malaysia, Jacintha has made it her mission to improve education and teaching in low-income communities. She is passionate about improving access to education through curriculum development and dedicated teaching.
