Who is Jacek Prus?
Jacek Prus is the Senior Director of Development at Farmed Animal Funders (FAF), a collective of funders committed to replacing animal agriculture with plant-based and cultivated meat alternatives.123 He recently started in this role, sharing the news on LinkedIn in November 2022.2
Prior to joining FAF, Jacek had an inspiring career journey. Growing up as an enthusiastic meat eater in Texas, he watched the documentary Earthlings during his philosophy bachelor's degree, which sent him down a path of animal activism.45 In January 2020, while living in Berlin, he had a notable tasting/meeting that resulted in a 20+ poke chain wanting to put his product on their menu.6
Jacek is also an experienced UX/UI designer, with a portfolio showcasing his work on web, mobile, and tablet Android apps.7 In June 2022, the company he co-founded, Current Foods, raised $18 million in seed funding for their plant-based seafood alternatives.8
