Jaap Lombaers

Jaap Lombaers is the Director of Knowledge Management and Partnerships at TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research).13 In this role, he is responsible for TNO's knowledge management, including overseeing the Early Research Programs that build new R&D propositions across departments and units.13 Lombaers also manages the development of TNO's strategic partnerships with industry, universities, and governments.13

Lombaers played a significant role in the founding of Holst Centre, an independent research and innovation center established in 2005 through a partnership between imec (Belgium) and TNO (Netherlands).2 He is considered one of the founding fathers of Holst Centre, alongside Jo De Boeck from imec.2

With his expertise in leadership and strategic management, Lombaers contributes to TNO's efforts in open innovation and collaborative research. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Chip Integration Technology Center (CITC).4
