J. Skyler Fernandes

J. Skyler Fernandes is the Founder and Chairman of VU Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in venture capital and private equity, with over 15 years in the industry and involvement in more than 150 portfolio companies. Fernandes is also the Co-Founder and General Partner of VU Venture Partners, a global venture capital fund, and Venture University, an investor accelerator program.123

Before founding VU Capital Partners, Fernandes was the Managing Director of Investments at Cleveland Avenue, where he focused on food and beverage brands and technologies. He also founded and led Simon Venture Group, the investment arm of Simon Property Group, and has been involved in notable investments such as Beyond Meat and Sensity.23

Fernandes holds a degree in Economics and International Relations from New York University and studied Foreign Policy and Physics at Harvard University. He is also an adjunct professor at New York University, teaching a Venture Capital Intensive course.23
