Ivet Avalos
Co-Founder Zoetic Motion
Ivet Avalos is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a keen interest in the biomedical industry. Currently, she is a co-founder at Zoetic Motion, as part of Cal Poly Center for Innovation summer accelerator. At Zoetic, her focus is on assisting physical therapy patients in maintaining motivation, engagement, and progress towards full recovery through innovative services.
During her academic journey, Ivet studied Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, achieving a GPA of 3.51. She also participated in an Engineering study abroad semester at Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra. Prior to her university studies, she completed her High School Diploma at Moorpark High School.
Ivet Avalos has been actively involved in various organizations and internships, which have contributed to her professional growth. She held the position of Vice President of Membership at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and served as a Research And Development Intern at Edwards Lifesciences. Additionally, she gained experience as a Systems Engineering Intern at Northrop Grumman and as part of the Edwards Lifesciences MEDITEC Team at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. She also interned at Kinamed Inc and held the role of Secretary at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
