Isabel Spence is an accomplished policy and public engagement professional with extensive experience providing consultancy services to organizations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM). She offers advice, research, and analytical services in policy, public affairs, and public engagement.

Having pursued a PhD in Physical Chemistry and an MChem in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Warwick, Isabel Spence has a strong academic background that complements her professional expertise.

Isabel currently serves as the Director at STEMgagement Consulting, where she utilizes her skills to support STEM-focused organizations. Her previous roles include being the Network Lead at University Alliance, the Executive Secretary and Editor of Science in Parliament at the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee, and the Head of Public Affairs at the Microbiology Society.

With a wealth of experience in policy advisory and managerial positions, Isabel has held roles such as Senior Policy Advisor and Policy Adviser at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. She also contributed her expertise as the Manager of Physical Sciences at the Royal Society of Chemistry and as a Research Liaison Officer at the Stroke Association.
