Irfan Nizarali Kherani

Irfan Nizarali Kherani is an accomplished individual with a diverse educational background in medicine, ranging from a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Alberta to completing a Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School.

His expertise includes clinical and surgical fellowship in Glaucoma & Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery from the University of Toronto, as well as a clinical fellowship in Vision Rehabilitation from The University of British Columbia.

In addition to his medical degrees, Irfan holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Molecular Biology from Princeton University and has a foundation in the International Baccalaureate from Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific.

Throughout his career, Irfan Nizarali Kherani has been associated with esteemed organizations, serving as an Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Health Network, conducting fellowship programs at Prism Eye Institute, and holding leadership positions such as Board Chair at Resident Doctors of Canada and President at University of Alberta Medical Students' Association.

His contributions to medical education and global health are evident in his past roles as Executive Vice-President, Vice-President Medical Education, and National Officer of Global Health Education at Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS), as well as his involvement as Curriculum Representative at University of Alberta Medical Students' Association.
