Irene Xu

Irene Xu is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in UX/UI, currently working as a UX Designer at Onto Innovation.2 She is also a Product Designer at Oovacha, a position she has held since January 2023.2 Irene is a University of Pennsylvania alum who creates designs to spark joy in users.12

In her role at Oovacha, Irene designs patient-facing mobile apps and provider-facing web apps, conducting user interviews and translating findings into actionable insights.2 She has experience in various design disciplines, including branding, illustration, iconography, and print media.2

Irene's design journey began unexpectedly when she was searching for a therapist and encountered a website with thoughtful design features.2 This experience inspired her to pursue a career in UX/UI design, focusing on creating joyful digital experiences through compassionate design.2

Outside of her design work, Irene enjoys dancing to K-Pop and hip-hop, volunteering in her community, and appreciating nature.2 She is currently based in Boston.2
