Innocent Mofya is an experienced Child Protection Specialist with UNICEF, currently leading strategic programming on Civil Registration and the UN Legal Identity Agenda.
Throughout his career, he has worked extensively in various child protection areas at national and international levels, spanning both emergency and non-emergency contexts in locations such as Zambia, South Sudan, Kenya, and the USA.
Innocent Mofya has made significant contributions to Child Protection globally, regionally, and nationally, with expertise in civil registration and legal identity, CP systems strengthening, GBV, VAC, CPiE, ECM, and Child Justice, among other focus areas.
He holds a Master's Degree in Sociology of Law from the International Institute for the Sociology of Law in Spain and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Public Administration from the University of Zambia.
