With a solid professional background, Ingrid has held key positions in prestigious organizations. She currently works as an Executive Advisor specializing in Digital Transformation Strategy. Previously, she served as the Group Director for People, Strategy & Innovation at WSP Opus, a global infrastructure consultancy known for creating human-centric infrastructure solutions. In this role, she oversaw various crucial areas such as People, Strategy, Innovation, Client Solutions, Marketing & Communications, Health & Safety Quality & Sustainability, and Opus Research.
Prior to WSP Opus, Ingrid was the Global Managing Director & Partner at The Cambridge Project, where she focused on advancing economic growth through Research and Development, along with introducing new leadership practices. Notably, The Cambridge Project successfully sold its innovative Intellectual Property after three years of R&D, with 85% of profits donated to charities. Her career also includes roles such as Global VP of Organization Development & Change at Nokia in Finland, Executive Director of People Capital & Change at the Attorney General's & Justice Department in Australia, and Senior Partner at Mercer Delta Consulting in the UK.
In addition to her corporate roles, Ingrid has served as the Global Executive Vice President at Beeble, a digital security technology startup based in California, USA. She has also contributed her expertise as a Senior Director focusing on Organization Development, Leadership, and Customer Experience at Pearson Plc. in the UK and USA. In earlier stages of her career, she held various executive positions at IBM across Australia, Asia, and the USA.
In terms of education, Ingrid Shannon-Smith pursued her BSc at the University of Western Australia. She further enhanced her knowledge by studying Negotiation Project at Harvard University, Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Leadership at The Aspen Institute.
