    Manager Discovery Ranger program at Tasmania Parks & Wildlife Service

    Ingrid Albion is a highly experienced environmental educator with over 20 years of expertise in the field.

    Currently serving as an Interpretation and Education Officer managing the Discovery Ranger Program at Tasmania's Parks and Wildlife Service.

    In this role, she oversees a team of 35 staff, which includes Aboriginal Discovery Rangers, Mandarin-Speaking Rangers, and Penguin guides.

    Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, Ingrid has expanded the Discovery Ranger program into a year-round initiative and received awards for her work with the Aboriginal DR program.

    Ingrid was selected as one of the '1000 Women in STEMM' for the Homeward Bound Program, a global initiative focused on women's leadership in STEMM and climate change.

    With a background in Zoology, Marine Biology, and Education, Ingrid has been actively involved in various wildlife programs in Tasmania, such as the Whale Rescue Program and Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.

    Passionate about climate change, she has launched a Tasmanian climate change stories website to share citizen science stories and inspire interest in the topic.

    Ingrid's commitment to influencing future generations towards collaboration and science led her to participate in the Homeward Bound program and a voyage to Antarctica.

    She holds degrees from the University of Melbourne and University of Tasmania, along with a Diploma in Education.
