    Imani K. Gilliam is a dedicated professional with a strong background in youth development and education. She has been involved with NJ SEEDS since 2012, initially as the Assistant Dean of Scholars Programs and presently as the Director, Programs overseeing various academic initiatives such as the College Scholars Program, Scholars Program, & Young Scholars Program.

    Imani, a New Jersey native, graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.S. in biology and psychology. She furthered her education by pursuing graduate courses in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University. Imani's early career focused on youth development programs in the Greater Philadelphia area, where she worked with at-risk youth through initiatives like What Matters Most and SOAR Programs at People for People, Inc. She also managed the Summer ServiceCorps Program for the Coatesville Youth Initiative.

    Beyond her professional roles, Imani's dedication to empowering youth led her to co-found Project L.I.F.T., Inc., a non-profit organization supporting youth in Camden, near her hometown in New Jersey. She firmly believes in guiding underrepresented students towards a path of excellence through mentorship, leadership development, and education to help them realize their full potential.

    Imani Gilliam's career trajectory reflects her commitment to educational equity and youth empowerment, as evidenced by her roles at NJ SEEDS and various youth development programs. Her work aligns with the vision of creating a world where all children have access to quality education, echoing the sentiments of global leaders like Nelson Mandela.
