Illia Borysov
Artificial Intelligence Researcher and Co-Founder of NEAR Protocol
Illia Borysov is a versatile professional, with experience in physics (optics) and programming/development/IT. He began his career working with security holograms, specifically Diffractive Optically Variable Devices (DOVD), designing graphics for over 50 projects with high levels of security for commercial applications. He also conducted research and developed computer-generated rainbow holograms and multiview diffractive image elements that were introduced into domestic production for the first time. Illia spent two years investigating diffusing and light-collecting properties of optical plates and sheets related to LCDs before starting his own project related to green tourism.
Since late 2010, Illia has been working in software development, particularly for iOS, and has extensive experience at Objective-C, Swift, and C++. He currently serves as a Senior iOS Developer for a technology company and has previously held positions as an iOS Engineer for Intapp, Leading iOS Software Engineer for Ztudium, and iOS Developer for SWAN Software Solutions, Inc., GeoZilla, Dukascopy Bank SA, NKO Ventures, and others. Additionally, Illia possess graphical design skills in Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop.
Illia boasts a strong background in research work and solid experience in iOS development. He holds an MS in Physics and was working towards a PhD in Physics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Illia has previously worked as a Senior Research Engineer for Samsung Cheil Industries Inc., a Leading Engineer for National Enterprise "Poligraphic Industrial Complex “Ukraina”", and a Designing Engineer for National Center “Superprint”, Ltd and Science & Technology Center “Optronics”, Ltd. Illia's vast experience and diverse background make him a valuable asset to any organization.
