Ida Johnsson
Senior Economist, Forecasting and Risk at Zillow (we're hiring)
Ida Johnsson is a seasoned 'full-stack economist' known for her expertise in implementing data engineering and data science solutions, and developing production-ready data pipelines. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California where she also teaches graduate-level courses in Causal Inference and Big Data Econometrics. Her research interests span real estate, spatiotemporal modeling, forecasting, and risk management. With a rich educational background that includes studies in Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, and Economics, Ida has a solid foundation in her field.
Throughout her career, Ida has held various key positions in eminent organizations. She has served as a Senior Economist in Forecasting and Risk at Zillow and previously as an Adjunct Professor in Econometrics at the University of Southern California. Ida has also shown her prowess as a Tech Economics Roundtable Chair at the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and has demonstrated leadership as a Chief Technology Officer at Ush and as a Chief Economist at Clutter. Her experience extends to roles including Director Of Analytics and Economics at Ush, Senior Data Scientist at Clutter, and Research Data Scientist at psyML. She has also contributed significantly in positions such as Data Scientist at MD Insider, Teaching Assistant, Research Fellow, and Research Assistant in various prestigious institutions and research centers around the world.
