Ian Swiergol

Ian Swiergol is the Managing Director of the Southwest Division at Alliance Residential Company, a role he has held since joining the company in 2007. In this capacity, he oversees development, investment, and construction operations throughout the Southwest region of the United States. Swiergol has played a significant role in the development of 45 multifamily properties, totaling over 11,850 units and a capitalization exceeding $2.4 billion. His responsibilities include land acquisition, managing entitlement and construction processes, and overseeing leasing and asset disposition activities.1

Swiergol holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the University of Arizona, and he earned a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Private Equity from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. His professional background includes roles at KPMG, Arthur Andersen, and FTI Consulting, where he developed expertise in finance and accounting practices.2

In addition to his professional achievements, Swiergol is actively involved in various business associations, including the Real Estate Investment Advisory Committee (REIAC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Lifestyle Residential Development Council. He is also a past member of the EC70/Executive Council Charities and an active member of The Thunderbirds, a philanthropic organization.1
