Essence Digital - Building a TDD backend API for Tesco’s new Upgrade Online functionality, and a front-end/backend/cms (Expression Engine) for the re-launch of Tesco Mobile. 

CNN, Turner - Brought in as cover for a vacant position, I spent most of my time optimising their processes for ease of use stability and reliability.  Additionally I trained the team with their technology so they were less reliant on the dev role.

R/GA - Working on the supporting signup and email notification processes for the release of beatsmusic.com.  Working with a fairly modern technology stack of Node, Backbone, SASS in a BDD, agile development environment.

Freelancing

TBG developed a name for themselves producing Facebook applications that were able to out­perform standard web­sites in terms of reach and engagement. I joined TBG to help them manage their rapidly growing client list. I lead a variety of projects mostly Facebook based, from very high traffic apps for Zynga to high profile apps for Heineken. Due to the rapid turnover of these applications I established a work flow and framework to maximise efficiency.

I joined R/GA to work on a new project for Pearson. Pearson are a largely print­-based company, keen to change this model to have a greater focus on digital. The ambitious project focused on developing an online authoring/publishing tool to enable teachers to build courses from existing Pearson content and media.

Working on advertising campaigns for many clients including Diageo, PlayStation, O2, Green & Black’s, Mercedes-Benz and the BBC.  We used many different platforms to target specific audiences.  The highlight of my time there was the multi-award-winning Killzone 2 web game, built on a small budget with a tight deadline using new technologies.
