His career journey includes key positions at organizations like PowerAdvocate, Socrata, and Google, where he spearheaded projects focusing on product management, engineering excellence, data science, cloud modernization, and user-centered design.

Ian's notable honors and awards include receiving the Secretary of Energy 'Service Medal', being appointed twice by President Obama for data innovation initiatives, and being a Harvard Kennedy School Siemens Fellow for technology innovation.

He holds a BSFS in International Politics from Georgetown University and a MEM in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
