Ian Gray is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a wealth of experience in the transport industry. With over 25 years of experience working in client, consultant, and contracting organizations, he is a highly skilled professional who brings an impressive range of skills to his work. After starting his career on-site in the UK, Ian moved to New Zealand, before eventually settling in Australia, where he led "centre of excellence" functions in cost estimating and risk management for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. He now serves as Technical Director (Civil Estimating and Risk Management) at AECOM, one of the largest global engineering firms.

Ian's impressive educational background includes studying at Durham School before going on to earn a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Reading University, where he graduated with First-Class Honors.

Throughout his career, Ian has held a variety of high-level positions in the transport industry, including roles as Manager (Risk) at Fission Pty Ltd, Director (Delivery Risk) at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Procurement Manager at NZ Transport Agency, Quantity Surveyor at Opus International Consultants Limited, and Section QS at Carillion.
