Firstbase Growth Manager Ian Garrett has an extensive background in software engineering, venture capital, and intellectual property. A graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science - Database and Informatics, Ian has garnered years of valuable experience across multiple organizations. From his former positions at Ideaship as an Associate Director, Venture Associate, Project Coordinator, and Executive Assistant, to his former roles as Co-Founder of Present Education, Software Engineer at Trend Capital Holdings, Inc., and IDX, LLC, and IT Director at Emerald Media Group - Ian has built a diverse set of skills that he now applies in his current position at Firstbase.

At Firstbase, Ian helps to drive channel partnerships and manage the partner platform - the only partner network growing new companies from day one. As a mentor with Defy Ventures, Ian leverages his sales, venture, software development, and intellectual property experience to help train entrepreneurs in the community who have criminal histories, supporting them in building their own businesses and changing their lives through entrepreneurship.
