Step on Board (www.steponboard.co.uk) is a programme of Trustees Unlimited delivering a groundbreaking senior-level employee engagement programme to some of the world’s leading companies both in the UK and overseas. Clients include Google, Barclays, Credit Suisse, EY, Deloitte, Bank of America, Pimco, Mishcon de Reya and many others. 

It helps existing leaders and identified talent to develop their skills by joining the boards of not for profit organisations.

To date over 500 leaders have been placed on to boards.

Rockpools is a dynamic, people-focused consultancy providing an innovative approach to executive recruitment, career development and leadership issues. They provide complementary services, including leadership solutions, talent centres, ethics and governance, interim management which they tailor to suit every individual client. 

They employ some of the most experienced and respected consultants in the public, private and voluntary sectors. 

I was brought in to build the Not for Profit Practice and worked on appointments as diverse as the Chief Executives of the RSPCA, Sottish Refugee Council and National Autistic Society to non-executive appointments at Futurebuilders England and Director level roles at the Home Office.

HOPE worldwide was a $40m global Not for Profit organisation holding special consultative status with the Social and Economic Council of the United Nations. I led the UK affiliate whose work includes the areas of drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and refugees.

As Chief Executive, I expanded our services, tripled our income, oversaw the development of our work in Afghanistan pre and post 9/11, and helped the organisation become the first NGO in the world to hold a management consultancy contract with the Asian Development Bank.
