Bradford Space (www.bradford-space.com) is a spacecraft systems group with locations in NYC, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Luxembourg. Having placed over 2,100 of its products into space, including propulsion systems for dozens of spacecraft, Bradford Space is leading the way to open up space and build the infrastructure of the solar system.

As CEO, I led the strategic direction of the company, including two add-on acquisitions, financings and development of new lines of business. Over the course of my leadership, Bradford's revenues expanded for 2.5x, and the company achieved record profits. Product lines expanded from small components to larger, more valuable spacecraft systems.

AIAC (www.aiac.com) is a privately owned group of manufacturing sites with over 8,500 employees in 24 countries in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Total annual revenues exceed $1.6 billion. I led the group's Space and Satellite operations, leading all acquisitions and investments in that sector. Our first acquisition in this sector was Bradford Engineering BV, our second was ECAPS AB and our third was Deep Space Industries Inc., all which collectively became the Bradford Space group, of which I served as CEO.

Through satellite data broadcasting, Outernet (www.outernet.is) is able to bypass censorship, ensure privacy, and offer a universally-accessible information service at no cost to global citizens. It's the modern version of shortwave radio, or BitTorrent from space. My role at Outernet is to advise on capital raising, engaging partners and customers and advising on the implementation of a worldwide satellite broadcast network.

Investment banker at a TMT-focused boutique investment bank. Have been involved in a whole variety of projects involving advising M&A, financings, valuations and consulting for big companies, small companies and investors, primarily in satellite, space, telecom and geospatial sectors. Among the many things I accomplished:

- Advised space station commercialization company NanoRacks on raising a $4.5 million Series A financing
- Advised MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) on its $1.1 billion acquisition of Space Systems/Loral, one of the world's largest satellite manufacturers
- Advised merger of maritime tracking companies Pole Star and Absolute Software, creating a leading global maritime telematics company
- Advised various satellite integration and communications companies seeking out various acquisitions
- Valued electromagnetic spectrum rights to a variety of spectrum holders for various purposes, including for litigations, financings and advisory projects. 
- Reviewed pitches and business plans from dozens of companies, seeking to do a wide variety of things like analyse worldwide geodata, bring telecom coverage to Africa and the Pacific, track fleets of trucks, vessels, aircraft and cattle, improve weather forecasting, deploy constellations of satellites, transport cargo to the moon, mine asteroids, service satellites, support missile defense, deploy high flying drones, deploy space stations, achieve nuclear fusion energy and otherwise benefit humanity through high powered capitalism.

- Advised sale of maritime telecom company Telaurus Communications to publically traded Globecomm Systems 
- Advised space station commercialization company NanoRacks on a seed financing round, its first round of outside capital
- Developed an analysis to securitize about $100 million of receivables for a satellite company
- Conducted a comprehensive review and analysis of NASA’s current and future support mechanisms for space commercialization initiatives. We generated and evaluated specific legislative proposals and organizational initiatives and then provided those recommendations to NASA’s Office of the Chief Technologist.
- Advised a variety of hedge funds and aerospace companies better understand the satellite industry by preparing deep analysis of big satellite companies like SES, Intelsat, SatMex and Inmarsat,
- Advised various satellite integration and communications companies to seek out various acquisitions
- Reviewed pitches and business plans from dozens of companies, seeking to do a wide variety of things like analyse worldwide geodata, bring telecom coverage to Asia, track fleets of trucks and vehicles, redevelop satellite ground stations, transport cargo to the moon, achieve nuclear fusion energy and otherwise benefit humanity through high powered capitalism.

Divine Capital was my entry point to New York City and the financial world. I came here for an internship at a time when the financial world was starting to fall apart (early 2008). I learned a lot, enjoyed a welcoming workspace and leveraged my position and newly acquired experience to enter the financial world full time .

As for what I did: Mostly worked on ETF tracking spreadsheets and got involved in providing general economic knowledge to the firm's equity research and quantitative analysis. Of particular help, I built a spreadsheet to help the Chief Market Strategist to track and screen companies for his research reports.

While back in my hometown of Montreal, I helped an organization (CANEUS) dedicated to development of micro and nano technologies, mostly for aerospace applications. Amoung many other things, I helped the Chairman of the organisation with market studies and the preparation of proposals. At the very top of highlights of this role was when we hosted the King of Sweden on a tour of CANEUS's Montreal facilities.

Research/Advisory/Business Development

The COE is a consulting organization embedded into UBC's Sauder School of business. Primarily, it is dedicated to providing operations analysis to companies and organisations in need of decision support.

While I was there, I led a consulting project to analyse the cargo heating operations for a major oil shipping company. It was a project that spanned several months, during which I had several meetings with executives, visited an oil tanker, mined through dozens of ship records on cargo heating, consulted experts and literature on crude oil heating dynamics, modeled out physical relationships of cargo tanks, implemented an optimisation routine and developed a complete support tool to help the oil tanker company save a huge amount of money by burning less fuel from heating their crude cargoes.

Besides that, I contributed to a variety of projects involving transportation, retail supply management, production planning and forecasting
