Ian Derrington

Meet Ian Derrington, a Principal Scientist at Roche who specializes in machine learning, algorithm design, and data analysis. With a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington, Seattle and a strong educational background in Engineering Physics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Ian possesses a deep understanding of the critical scientific principles necessary to advance the development of disruptive technologies such as DNA sequencing. Prior to joining Roche, Ian served as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington and a Consultant at Illumina. Throughout his career, Ian's interdisciplinary expertise and focus on innovation and entrepreneurship has enabled him to make significant contributions to the advancement of technological development at Roche.
