Ian Charles

Ian Charles is a highly accomplished individual with a solid educational background and extensive experience in various organizations.

He pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from the University of Leicester, UK, and also studied Zoology at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.

Throughout his career, Ian has held prominent positions in several organizations, including serving as a Non-Executive Director at Genus and being involved in the founding and leadership of multiple biotechnology and research companies.

He has been a Director at Quadram Institute and the ithree institute, and currently holds a visiting Professor position at the UTS: University of Technology, Sydney.

Additionally, Ian has excelled in academic roles, having been a Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Sheffield, Wolfson Institute at University College London, and carrying out research activities at prestigious institutions like Glaxo Wellcome and Wellcome Research Laboratories.

His expertise spans across various areas including biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmacology, showcasing his diverse skill set and knowledge in the field of life sciences.
