Ian Barnett

American Express Director of Product Management, Ian Barnett, brings a diverse background to his work. With a Master of Science in Systems Architecting and Engineering: Software from the University of Southern California, as well as a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Strategic Marketing and Services Leadership from Arizona State University, Barnett combines technical expertise with keen business acumen. Prior to his time at American Express, Barnett worked at Lockheed Martin for six years as a software developer before moving into team and technical leadership roles. At American Express, Barnett is dedicated to making it as easy as possible for customers to get an American Express Card, integrating his technical background, business education, and curiosity for the customer to create simple solutions using complex technology. Barnett is passionate about how software can empower people and businesses.
