Hussein Alzribi is a dedicated lawyer, humanitarian worker, and refugee consultant based in the Netherlands. With a background in International Law and Legal Studies from Aleppo University, he has a strong passion for assisting refugees and empowering them.
Having firsthand experience as a refugee himself, Hussein has worked extensively in various roles to support refugees in Greece, Turkey, and beyond. He spent time as a volunteer in a camp in Gaziantep, Turkey, and later held significant positions in the refugee squats in Athens, Greece.
In the Netherlands, Hussein continues his advocacy work for refugees, volunteering with local and international NGOs. Recognizing the importance of empowering refugees with tools and skills, he believes in fostering self-sufficiency and addressing the emotional distress that refugees face in their daily lives.
As a co-founder of Refugee Jumpstart and with experience in organizations like Jobs for Humanity, Cordaid, and Hulpkarravan, Hussein showcases a strong commitment to refugee rights and community development. His diverse background includes roles in legal administration, project management, recruitment, and community volunteering.
