Hussain Alsalman
Assistant Professor at KACST & Visiting Scholar at University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
Hussain Alsalman is an accomplished researcher with a focus on applying nanotechnology to device design for future energy solutions and high performance materials.
He possesses a strong technical proficiency in various areas including high-speed transistors, lasers, LEDs, solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, and nano-characterization among others.
His expertise extends to experimental research techniques such as 2D materials chemical vapor deposition, photolithography, and scanning electron microscopy, as well as theoretical proficiency in device design using modeling codes and analytical models.
Alsalman holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Bachelor's degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at KACST, he has also previously worked as a Visiting Scholar/Postdoc at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
