Humberto Schwab

Humberto Schwab is a renowned philosopher and founder of the Socratic Design Academy. With a background anchored in philosophy, Schwab has developed a deep understanding of the current technological shift that affects all aspects of our daily lives. He believes that modern concepts and frames are rooted in the industrial era, and we need new approaches. However, several obstacles hinder creativity and problem-solving methods, mainly our addiction to thoughts and difficulty in listening to each other. Schwab has developed the Socratic Design™, a tool that applies a rigorous and disciplined approach to group problem-solving methods. It frees people from addictive thoughts and feelings and fosters listening and empathy, creating a collaborative mind that can formulate relevant questions to shape common attention. Schwab's extensive background includes founding and moderating at Realize Europe and Schwab's Learning Tribe, respectively, among other notable organizations. He worked with reputable institutions like the Ministry of Education, Netherlands, Club of Amsterdam, and Waag Society. Schwab has also authored and contributed to several publications, including stand-up philosophy for Filosofie Magazine.
