Hugo Augusto

Hugo Augusto is the Managing Director of Techstars Lisbon in partnership with Semapa Next.

He is actively seeking hard-working founders in Digital Transformation within Industrial Tech, Environmental Tech, Smart Transportation, and Travel & Leisure Tech.

With experience as a founder and CEO, Hugo understands the challenges and best practices involved in growing a team, accelerating the client base, and scaling products.

He co-founded and led an EdTech SaaS company, MyChild, which was successfully sold and featured in the 2016 Google Demo Day.

During his role as CEO of MyChild, Hugo raised $3 million in seed funding and expanded the business to serve hundreds of paying clients across 40 US states.

Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Hugo spent approximately 6 years in management consulting, advising multinational companies on various strategic and operational challenges across different industries.

Hugo Augusto holds a Masters and University Degree from ISEG at the Technical University of Lisbon, as well as an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and additional studies at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

He also serves as a Series A Investor at Semapa Next.
