Hugh McManus, an accomplished professional in the field of lean process improvement, systems engineering, and preliminary design, has made significant contributions to diverse organizations in both the public and private sectors. He has an extensive academic background, having studied Aerospace Engineering at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University. McManus has served in various notable positions, including Principal Research Engineer at MIT, Assistant/Associate Professor at MIT, and Senior Special Projects Engineer at Metis Design Corporation. He has also been a lecturer at Loyola Marymount University, and presently serves as an Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University. Prior to his academic career, McManus built his foundation in the private sector, working in capacities such as Structures Engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space, and Engineer at Kaman Aerospace.
