Hugh McAtamney
Senior Engagement Manager
Hugh McAtamney is the Senior Engagement Manager for the Creative and Cultural Sectors at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin). In this role, he leads the Enterprise Academy's initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration within the creative and cultural industries. His work includes the development of accredited pathways into the screen industry, in partnership with organizations like Screen Ireland.
Before his current position, McAtamney served as the Head of the TU Dublin School of Media for eight years, where he established strong connections with the screen industry and created industry-relevant programs. He has over 20 years of experience in the Media and ICT sectors, focusing on areas such as Game Design, Digital Media, and Immersive Technologies. Notably, he played a significant role in developing a national apprenticeship in CG Technical Art (animation) and has a background in hospitality management, information technology, and an M.Phil in Virtual Reality.
Additionally, McAtamney is recognized for his involvement in sports, having served as a Chief Triathlon Technical Official at three Olympic events, including as the first Irish Technical Delegate at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.123
