Hudson Vaughan
Director, Community Justice Collaborative
Hudson Vaughan is an experienced community organizer, housing justice advocate, and non-profit director focusing on preventing displacement in historically Black neighborhoods and promoting community self-determination and racial equity.
His recent work includes textured community organizing, property tax equity analysis and advocacy, facilitation of community-run land banks, and mobilizing faith communities to support housing and land justice.
Hudson Vaughan holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv) with a Certificate in Black Church Studies from Duke University Graduate School and a Bachelor's Degree in History with a Minor in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He has held positions such as Director of Community Justice Collaborative at North Carolina Housing Coalition, Housing Justice and Community Engagement Consultant/Advocate, Interim Executive Director at The Marian Cheek Jackson Center for Saving and Making History, Manager & Oral History Research Fellow at Breaking New Ground Oral History Project, Coordinator for Undergraduate Initiatives at Southern Oral History Program, and Co-Founder and Senior Director at The Marian Cheek Jackson Center for Saving and Making History.
