Hossein Tavassoli is an innovative bioengineer and stem cell scientist with a strong background in cancer research, stem cells, clinical trials, materials engineering, cell sorting, nano and biomaterials. He holds a PhD focusing on cardiac stem cell regeneration and microfluidic technologies, with postdoctoral training in studying circulating tumor cells using single-cell transcriptomics technologies. Tavassoli has won awards for his communication, public speaking, and presentation skills. He has extensive experience in cellular and molecular biology methods, single-cell analysis, and various microscopy techniques. His academic expertise includes NGS and single-cell RNA sequencing, specifically on methods like Smart-seq3. Furthermore, he is skilled in materials synthesis and characterization, manufacturing, lithography, 3D printing, and microfluidics. Tavassoli is also known for sharing scientific concepts through talks, interviews, and public engagements on platforms like ABC, Radio 2SER, SBS, TEDx, and various museums and theaters. Additionally, he has trained and coached numerous students and researchers in both industrial and academic settings.
