As a Career Coach, I work 1:1 with Springboard students on all aspects of their job search and career goals, to produce great career outcomes for all Career Track graduates. Working closely with a dynamic and empathetic Career Services team, I play a significant role in each student’s journey by supporting them in every step of their career journey.

Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 career coaching conversations regarding job search in technical fields with students in a high-volume, online, coaching environment
* Respond promptly and supportively to student career concerns and questions via email 
* Stay up to date on current trends in technical hiring and job search tactics 
* Track outcomes of coaching calls via our student CRM, providing detailed notes and information that evaluate risk factors, track success, and predict future performance
* Escalate students of concern to the Head of Career Services for additional coaching or intervention plans
* Collaborate with the Career Services team to recommend students for job openings and share information about employability

CrossPurpose is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission of eradicating poverty by providing professional development, career training, and job placement services within a community-oriented setting. 
From 2020 through March 2024, I served as the Program Director for Launch, a unique program designed specifically for TANF and SNAP recipients and provides career development planning services as participants begin to craft a plan for future career advancement.  My responsibilities in this role include:
- Develop targeted instruction on personal workforce development topics centered around executive functioning, including time management, skills assessment, career mapping, goal setting, and resume writing.
- Cultivate partnerships with local stakeholders representing employers, social impact organizations, educational services partners, and volunteers to build program offerings.
-Oversee day-to-day program operations, aligning deliverables with state and federal grant requirements.
-Onboard and support 250+ annual program participants with online instruction, 1:1 career coaching, and development of individualized career development plans.

I previously served as a Career Coach and Employment Services Manager, where I worked collaboratively with program coaches to ensure full job search readiness upon completion of skills training.  I also facilitated relationships with local employers who are willing to consider program participants for career-track employment positions paying $18/hour+.

I engaged with clients regularly -- often several times a week -- to assess their individual needs and to provide expert coaching on all phases of job search.

Career Concierge Group provides resume writing, coaching, and career planning services. I primarily collaborate with specialty agencies to provide career coaching, strategy and personal marketing services on a contract basis.

In this role, I  write, edit, and deliver high quality career marketing materials including cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, reference pages, and personal biographies to a wide range of clients in industries spanning, technology, software development, product development, communications, and executive operations.  I also work 1:1 with clients to optimize job search strategies by developing customized plans. My clients ranged from newly graduated college students to C-Suite executives.

I can confidently assert that my efforts have improved my client’s personal branding, career positioning strategies, and personal resume, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, and increased their ability to generate new career opportunities. 

Some of my key accomplishments include:

* Of  my career coaching clients seeking new positions, over 90% quickly obtained interviews and employment offers utilizing career advice and new materials.
* I conduct  introductory client meetings to assess career goals and review existing professional marketing materials.
* As a full-service, personal service provider, I offer continuous follow up with clients to ensure full satisfaction with project materials.

Career Consultant & Strategist

As the Regional Director for Career Services for Westwood College, I oversaw the career placement efforts of more than 700 students in the Denver Metro and greater Colorado areas. My success rate of placing more than 80% of students in jobs within their field of study came through a combination of hard work, my ability to develop key relationships with hiring managers and a thorough approach to ensuring that students and graduates were prepared for the job search with meaningful cover letters, resumes, and social networking profiles. 

Some key accomplishments:
*Served as Campus-to-Community Chairperson which tasked me with building partnerships with the regional business community, and facilitating the exchange of mutually beneficial resources.
*Developed a pipeline of more than 150 NEW business relationships with major corporations that spurred hiring opportunities for students and graduates.
*Spearheaded governmental relations activities through active participation in educational alliance organizations, and lobbying at a local, state and federal level.
* Achieved placement rates of 85% class for recent graduates.

At ITT Tech, I embraced my first opportunity to actively change the lives of graduates of this nationwide technical educational institution by providing career search guidance on the front end, and advocating for an important educational resource on the back end. My efforts to help students and to build the trust of key hiring managers and business leaders brought overwhelming success with an 83% career placement success rate (#7 Campus Nationwide out of 140+ campus locations).

Some Key Accomplishments Include:
* Developed new pipeline of business associates via networking and outreach activities, expanding business contacts by 50%. 
* Designed custom career transition plans for individual graduates while planning and hosting employment workshops, mock interviews and community career fairs.
* Provided functional leadership as part of five-member campus leadership team, and was named to the National Leadership Team.

With a severely depressed economy eroding opportunity for job seekers from entry level to C-Level employees, ITS Family of Companies provided valuable career transition services to help individuals identify the shrinking pool of opportunities while putting their best foot forward in search of new positions. My role was that of a "personal marketing director" tasked with not only developing necessary job search materials and providing career coaching, but I also was somewhat of a personal coach serving as someone who could listen, understand and cheer someone on during difficult circumstances.

Key Accomplishments:
* Provided job placement and outsourcing assistance to hundreds of corporate clients. Used knowledge of recruiting and placement to generate high levels of placement success.
* Provided outstanding service levels to existing client base, ensuring service satisfaction. Upon campaign completion, secured qualified testimonials. Garnered unprecedented client referrals from testimonials and word-of-mouth endorsements.

I love to teach, and my position as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Phoenix (as well as other colleges like Colorado Technical University, ITT Technical Institute and Everest College), allowed me to bring my experience and knowledge in business and marketing to students. Known as a "tough but fair and fun" instructor, I took great pride in providing students with real-world scenarios on which to build their skills.

As part of the membership services and marketing team for this municipal risk management firm serving over 220 cities, towns and special districts in Colorado, I handled a 140-member client list and was tasked with ensuring that all 140 members continued their annual participating in the organization. I developed plans for member retention that included regular face-to-face meetings, attendance at local municipal gatherings, and coordination of member issues with other staff members.

* Achieved 100% member retention of my client lists each year of my employment.  
*Actively solicited new business for qualified public entities by traveling to  location of potential clients to meet with top-level decision makers, and delivered high-quality marketing presentations to City and Town Councils.
