- Manage ~$1 million in sponsored content projects annually.

- Recruited, tested, on-boarded, and scheduled freelance vendors, including copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, and compositors.
- Assessed vendors’ work regularly to ensure quality.
- Solely responsible for all vendor invoicing.
- Updated/reworked O'Reilly house style guide.

- Helped roll out automated Word→InDesign conversion workflow to production department. 
- Converted dozens of books from Word→InDesign, both manually and using automated workflow.

Production Specialist

- Oversaw complete production lifecycle for ~35 consumer and professional technology books across ~15 different series annually. 
- Prepared production schedule for each title.
 —Served as main point of contact for authors, editors, illustrators, and freelance vendors. 
- Copy edited and proofread as needed. 
- Implemented and maintained proper markup and tagging of book files to ensure files could be repurposed for ebooks. 
- Proofread covers and coordinated with marketing and design departments to develop and route back cover copy, distributed cover proofs for internal and author approval, and collated necessary corrections.
- Preflighted and prepared final files for print and web; submitted files to printer.

As LifeTips Book Publisher:
- Solely responsible for every 101 Tips book from proposal to print. Included acquisitions, developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, InDesign layout/composition, and submission of files to press.
- Created a bookseller sales kit for each title. Negotiated sales and coordinated author events with independent booksellers.
- Arranged book reviews with bloggers and national publications (including Town & Country magazine).
