    Holger A. Klein is an accomplished academic and art historian with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in teaching and research.

    He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art History, Early Christian Archaeology, and German Literature from The University of Bonn, a Master of Arts (MA) in Art History from The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London, and has studied Art History, Byzantine Art History, and German Literature at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen and The University of Freiburg.

    Formerly, he held various prestigious positions at Columbia University in the City of New York, including Lisa and Bernard Selz Professor of Medieval Art History and Archaeology, Professor of Art History and Archaeology, Director of The Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies, Interim Director of Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies, Faculty Director of Casa Muraro, Chairman of the Department of Art History and Archaeology, and Associate Professor of Art History and Archaeology.

    He has also served as the Consulting Curator of Medieval Art at The Cleveland Museum of Art and as the Robert P. Bergman Curator of Medieval Art at the same institution. Additionally, he has experience as an Alliance Visiting Professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
