Hoang Thai Tao is a dedicated individual with a broad academic background and extensive professional experience in various fields such as environmental justice, climate change, architecture, and civil engineering.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD ABD) in Planning & Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with the highest honors, and a BARCH in Architecture with first-class highest honors, among other degrees and certifications.
Hoang's commitment to climate action led him to work as a lead researcher at CHART, focusing on hazard mitigation analysis and GIS specialist roles.
He has also been involved in tech startups, having founded SISYPHUS Global Systems LLC, and has experience in executive and project management roles in various organizations such as VentureWell and ABCC Inc.
With a rich international experience, Hoang has lived and worked in cities like LA, NYC, NOLA, Italy, China, Taiwan, and Mozambique where he served as the director/founder of the Civil Engineering Program at UCM during his Peace Corps service.
His expertise spans across fields like architecture, urban planning, and civil engineering, making him a versatile professional with a deep understanding of sustainable design, hazard management, and tech innovation.
