Hisham Hamdan

Education and Background
Hisham holds two degrees in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University, United States.12 He has also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.2
Before joining Khazanah, Hisham worked at Sime Darby Berhad, where he held executive roles including EVP in Energy & Utilities and Managing Director of Healthcare.6
Appointment as CIO
His appointment as CIO is aimed at enhancing Khazanah's capabilities as an investment institution and creating new capacity and competencies to meet the company's value creation and impact goals.13 Khazanah's Managing Director, Dato' Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, expressed confidence that Hisham's vast experience and knowledge will be an asset to the organization's ongoing efforts in building capacity and institutionalizing talent development.1
